In 1952, Wayne Murray and friend Roger Dunham
started their own law firm, Murray and Dunham, now known as Murray,
Dunham & Murray. They practiced together for 50 years. Mr.
Murray was well respected as an intelligent and talented trial
attorney within the Northwest legal community. He was also an
avid sailor and skier.
Wayne Murray graduated from Queen Anne High
School and went on to graduate magna cum laude and Order of the
Coif from the University of Washington Law School in 1939. Prior
to practicing law, Mr. Murray served as an agent for the Federal
Bureau of Investigations. In his four years with the FBI, Mr.
Murray received at least five commendations from FBI Director
J. Edgar Hoover. Mr. Murray served as an Assistant Attorney General
for the State of Washington from 1945 to 1946 and was an attorney
at Todd, Holman, Spague and Allen, now known as Perkins Coie,
before starting the law firm of Murray and Dunham.
